Finding Help

It all starts with a need for help - anything from troubleshooting a technical issue to simply setting up some stuff up. As a 'requestee', you create a submission outlining your specific needs, the type of help you're looking for, and any relevant details that will help experts understand your requirements.


Once your submission has been created, it will be made available to all expert community members who will have the opportunity to review your request and offer their services. You then review any offers you receive, checking expert profiles, ratings and reviews to help you decide which expert is best suited to help you with your request.


Each successful interaction you have will boost your overall community rating helping you to stand out from others when creating future submissions.

Providing Help

If you're technically skilled, sign-up as a technical expert, create your profile and start earning. Once your profile is created, you can start browsing available submissions and offering your services to help others in the community. You can subscribe to multiple categories of expertise with the ability to receive email notifications when new submissions are created in your chosen categories.


Once you've offered your services on a submission, the requestee will review your profile and either accept or decline your offer. If accepted, you then arrange the details of the help session(s) with the requestee including dates, times and any login credentials. As you complete submissions and earn positive reviews, your profile will grow in reputation helping you to attract more requestees.


Tuff Luck Costs

There are no costs to create submissions, receive offers or view / interact with technical experts. Once you have accepted an offer from a technical expert, they will create a Tuff Luck invoice for the agreed amount. After reviewing and paying this invoice, your session(s) with the chosen expert can begin.

Once your session(s) have been completed and you are satisfied with the help provided, the technical expert is paid using their registered banking details.


Tuff Luck charges 15% of the transaction amount which is deducted from the expert's payment. This is to help cover platform running costs and fees and provide opportunities for further growth. This fee is subject to change in the future as the platform grows and develops.



Leaving the Platform

While there is ultimately little to stop you conducting transactions outside of the Tuff Luck platform, we strongly advise against this. By keeping transactions within the platform, both requestees and experts have a number of protections while minimising issues with receiving payments and ensuring a high standard of service from the technical experts.

If you do choose to leave the platform there is nothing Tuff Luck can do to assist in the event of a dispute by either party. It also means that you will not be supporting the continued development and maintenance of the Tuff Luck platform and may risk having your account suspended.
